Most Yorke Peninsula trips out of Adelaide follow the same run: Highway 1 north for about an hour, then west at Port Wakefield toward the Copper Coast and the rest of the Peninsula. That junction is exactly where Kipling's sits, on the Port Wakefield–Auburn Road corner.

- Port Wakefield is the junction town — it's where Highway 1 continues north and the road for Yorke Peninsula branches west. It's about an hour out of Adelaide, so it's a natural point to stop before the drive changes character.
- Is there somewhere to eat before heading onto the Peninsula?
- Kipling's Bakery is on the Port Wakefield–Auburn Road corner, right at that junction, and has been baking on site since 1993. Pies, pasties, sausage rolls, sandwiches, sweets and coffee are all made or prepared on site, seven days a week.
- What should I grab before the Peninsula leg of the drive?

- We're open 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm Saturday and 8:00am – 4:00pm Sunday. Early is best for the full range straight out of the oven.
