For over thirty years, the smell off this little bakery on the Port Wakefield road has done one job — make people hit the brakes. Kipling's is the kind of place you grew up stopping at: once on the way up north, again on the way home. Same family, same honest baking, same counter stacked with pies that have earned a quiet sort of fame across South Australia.
Today owner Jacqui Kipling and the team keep the ovens going — same recipes, same warm welcome, same red sign you slow down for on Highway 1.
